Dian Cathal is an award winning writer, stand-up comedian, and actor.

His latest show, Generation WHY was nominated for the Best of Brighton Fringe Comedy Award 2022, New Online UK Comedian of the Year Finalist 2020, Max Turner Prize Finalist 2018 & Pride’s Got Talent finalist 2022.

Dian’s first hour, Trans*Atlantic ran at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 and the Soho Theatre, London. He spent lockdown on the Soho Theatre Writers’ Lab 2020/21 and his play The T-Word was longlisted for Screenshot by South Of The River And Sister Productions and won at the Out Stage Us Festival 2020.

His writing is also featured in Fierce: An Anthology of Dynamic New Queer Monologues for Actors, published by Rikki Beadle-Blair and Team Angelica Publishing.

As an actor he can be seen in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Military Wives (2020) and the HBO series Avenue 5 (2022).
